Qingdao City School for the Blind was founded in 1932, is a boarding school for the blind. The school has more than visual impairment, elementary, middle, high school, vocational school, the five faculty massage, and a national blind Education Resource Centre to provide quality and efficient services to education and teaching. At present, Qingdao City, Shandong Province Blind is home for the disabled, special education advanced unit in Shandong Province, the provincial standardized school. 

Qingdao City blind high school, was in 1993 by the Ministry of Education, the CDPF commissioned by the Qingdao Municipal School for the Blind hosted China's first high school for the blind. Running nineteen years, under the support of all levels of government, the education sector and the community, caring, blind high school educational software and hardware facilities have improved, more and more strong faculty, the school is expanding.
